Knight's Mechanicus

Description

In a world where tragedy struck. Something fell from the sky and wiped out a large portion of humanity.

Electricity across the world was lost and then something worse. The ground cracked and huge creatures started pulling themselves up. They terrorized the remaining civilizations.

There was one line of defence. Matching the monsters in size, the mechanicus. The only piece of the old power (electricity) that still worked. As the war with the monsters raged on more and more mechanicus were lost. The people reverted back to a medieval, feudal system and survived by living in small, hidden kingdoms.

As the war was all but lost, precious few people who still remained who knew how to operate the Mechanicus. Pilots of the Mechanicus became known as knights. 

You are the last of the Knight's for your kingdom and a monster is coming.

Gameplay

The game plays a little like FTL. I was aiming for a game where you operate giant mechs against monsters by allocating power and people to specific tasks. The Mech and monster fight automatically based on your selections.

There are chances to hit, dodge and shield based on how many people you put in each room and on how much power you allocate to it.

Left click or drag to select people.
Right click to move them.
Mouse Scroll in and out to zoom.
WASD will move the camera around.
Left click on the rooms power bar in the HUD to add power to a room.
Right click on the rooms power bar in the HUD to remove power from a room.
This will only work if you have enough power.

Unfortunatley, I didn't have time to do the Special attack logic :(

Installation

Hopefully, just unzip and run the executable :)

This is my first game jam. I've watched, tinkered and made my own little projects many times. This is the first game that I've ever actually completed from start to finish.
